Raj Ghat
The black-marble platform marking where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated on 31 January 1948, inscribed with his last words, 'Hé Ram', beside an eternal flame. The memorials of Nehru and other leaders lie in the riverside gardens to the north.
Free and open daily from morning to early evening. Remove shoes at the gate. The National Gandhi Museum across the road (closed Mondays) adds context.
